Test your agent now shows exactly what your customers will see before your agent goes live. Replies look the way each channel shows them, with buttons, quick replies, lists, images and files. You can also test the first message your agent sends to a new lead without texting a real contact. The Deploy tab is also redesigned, so channels, outbound and triggers are all in one place.
See what customers see. Test outbound safely. Go live from one place.
Rich Elements on Every Channel
Pick a channel in Preview as, and the test chat looks the way it does on that channel:
- Live chat shows buttons
- Facebook and Instagram show quick replies
- WhatsApp shows reply buttons and lists
- SMS shows plain text
- Images show up as previews, and files your agent sends appear right in the chat
- Tap a reply just like a customer would, or type your own message to see how your agent responds
Test Outbound Before It Goes Live
Set Starts with to Outbound, then click Set up next to Outbound test setup:
- Trigger: choose what made your agent reach out first, such as a Facebook lead form, a form submission or a missed call
- Test contact: pick a contact to fill fields like {{contact.first_name}}. This contact never gets a message
- Test values: set any field just for this test. If a value is empty, the contact's own value is used
- Opening message preview: see the first message with every field filled in before you start
Your agent sends the opening message, and you reply as the lead to keep the conversation going.
Redesigned Deploy Tab
Set up channels, outbound and triggers in one place, then go live:
- Inbound: see which channels your agent answers on, and set up new ones
- Outbound: Channels & activation and Triggers, with the status shown at a glance
- Schedule: Working hours
- Agent details: model, mode, actions and knowledge base, with Edit in Build one click away
- A reminder when outbound is on but no trigger starts it yet, with a shortcut to Triggers
- Go to AI Agents → Conversation AI and open your agent
- Open the Test your agent panel on the right of the Build tab
- Use Preview as to pick a channel, then chat with your agent
- To test outbound, set Starts with to Outbound, click Set up, pick a trigger and a test contact, then click Test your agent
- When you're happy with the results, open the Deploy tab to go live
- Launch knowing what every customer will see on every channel
- Catch broken flows before a real lead does, not after
- Test outbound safely, with no risk of texting a real contact
- Set up and go live from one place
- Test messages are never sent to your contacts, and your agent's settings stay unchanged
- Preview as appears when Enable Rich Elements Support is on under Response Behavior. Each element shows only if it's turned on under Allow this bot to send
- Testing outbound needs Conversation AI | Outbound AI Agents turned on under Settings → Labs, and an Outbound opening message on the agent
- Outbound tests preview as SMS, the channel outbound messages are sent on
- Outbound testing isn't available for agents built with the flow-based builder
