SaaS Usage Limits: Keep Client Usage in Check, and Get Paid When They Need More

What's New

You can now set a usage limit for each of your SaaS clients and decide what happens when they reach it, for example bill them for the extra usage or stop the action. Usage limits start with Voice AI and Conversation AI.

• Clients see their usage. Each client's billing page shows how much they have used against their limit, with clear color cues as they get close, plus the dates their usage resets.
• You see who is close to the limit. In Manage Client, you can view every client with a limit in one place and filter by product or by how much of their limit they have used.
• Set limits when you onboard a client. Add usage limits as an optional step while setting up a new client with rebilling, so they are in place from day one.
• Clients can ask for more. If a client hits a limit and cannot upgrade their plan, they can request a higher limit from their billing page or from the limit prompt. You will see the request in Manage Client, on your agency dashboard and in the SaaS Configurator. Set the new limit you are comfortable with and approve it, or reject it with a reason, all without leaving the page.
• Everyone stays in the loop. You get an in-app and email notification when a client requests a higher limit. Clients get notified when their limits change, and when a request is rejected, with your reason.

Why It Matters

Heavy usage no longer has to mean surprise costs or an awkward conversation after something stops working. You stay in control of what each client can use, clients always know where they stand, and when someone needs more, it becomes a clear request you can say yes to, and charge for.

Notes

• Available to Pro agencies through Labs (beta program).
• Usage limits are available for Voice AI and Conversation AI today. Other products are not covered yet.
• Only sub-account admins can view usage on the billing page and request a higher limit.
• "Request higher limit" appears only for clients who cannot upgrade their SaaS plan. Clients who can upgrade see the upgrade option instead.
• Approving a request changes the client's limit only. It does not change what happens when the limit is reached.
• The Enable Rebilling flow and the bulk action do not support usage limits yet.

Coming Soon

• More products: usage limits for the phone system, email, automations and more.
• Usage alerts: in-app and email notifications at 50%, 80% and 100% of a limit, sent to both you and your client, so nobody is surprised.
• Usage limits in the Enable Rebilling flow and the bulk action.
